It All Begins With A Song...
A Songwriting Primer on GAC's
"Country Music Across America"
(NASHVILLE, TENN)
December 14, 2006....Wordsmiths, poets, tunesmiths, crazy, creative types...whatever you call them, Nashville's songwriters posses the ability to transform everyday life experiences into chart-topping anthems. This week's "Country Music Across America," Thursday, December 14, 9:00 pm (ET) on GAC, explores the world of songwriting through the eyes of this industry's top writers and song decision makers.
Host Storme Warren has traveled to songwriting retreats in Key West, Colorado and Anguilla to observe songwriters at work and at play. He reports on where songwriters go to get creative, how each one of us can become more creative and just what exactly inspires some of country music's top writers.
Songwriter Wendell Mobley shares the inspiration behind Kenny Chesney's "There Goes My Life" and Faith Hill's "Paris" (from her Fireflies LP) while Jeffrey Steele, Craig Wiseman, Bob DiPiero, Rivers Rutherford, Brett James, Chuck Cannon and Lari White talk about their very unique occupations.
Everything from pitching songs to downloading music is talked about by experts including label chiefs Joe Galante (SonyBMG) and Luke Lewis (UMG), A & R exec Tracy Gershon (Warner Bros.) and the Nashville Songwriters Association's Executive Director, Bart Herbison.
"Country Music Across America" on GAC: the only entertainment news show on television dedicated solely to covering the world of country music.
