FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Hall of Fame Celebrations, Birthdays
On "Country Music Across America"
(Nashville,
Tenn.) November 6, 2007... This
week's episode of "Country Music
Across America," (Thursday,
November 8, 8:00 PM EST on Great American Country), recaps a busy and emotional time for the country music community.
Host Storme Warren chats with the newest members of the HOF:
Vince Gill,
Mel Tillis
and Ralph Emery.
While three new inductions were being celebrated, the passing of fellow Hall of Famer
Porter Wagoner weighed on everyone's minds. Footage from his funeral shows a very appropriate celebration of the Opry great's life and career.
In addition to his HOF induction,
Mel Tillis was honored at a local honky tonk where a few young artists paid tribute to the singing and songwriting star. "CMAA" was front and center and caught up with Mel as well
Jason Michael Carroll and
Jamey Johnson, both of whom performed.
Shooter Jennings and
Deana Carter tell us what it's like to be carrying on the legacies of their famous fathers and
Trace Adkins continues his conversation on politics, his new book and the price of fame.
Celebrating birthdays are Tanya Tucker
who marked the occasion at a Nashville honky tonk and
Sammy Hagar
who was joined by pal
Toby Keith at his party in Mexico.
"Country Music Across America" on GAC: the only entertainment news show on television dedicated solely to covering the world of country music.
