Artists Show Big Hearts, Big Love
On "Country Music Across America"
(Nashville,
Tenn.) October 2, 2007... You can most certainly feel the love on this week's episode of "Country Music Across America" on GAC (Thursday, October 4, 2007).
Continuing to prove that country artists are the most generous on the planet, host Storme Warren catches up with Rascal Flatts at their recent Nashville concert that raised more than $800 thousand for the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, bringing their total raised for the hospital to over $2.5 million.
Dierks Bentley also stepped in to help out Vandy's Children Hospital, hosting his second annual Miles and Music charity motorcycle ride. More than 1500 motorcyclists and 2 dozen country stars clogged the highways of Music City all for a good cause.
It was a big love of the Opry variety as Josh Turner received an invitation to become that institution's newest member. The invitation came from Roy Clark, a 20-year Opry veteran who is also celebrating his 50th wedding anniversary and his 60th year in show business. Host man Warren caught all the action as he spent the day behind the scenes at the Opry and later fulfilled his dream (at least one we're able to talk about) of being a guest announcer on the famous WSM radio broadcast of the live Opry show.
Lots of new music is hitting the shelves and Warren chats with LeAnn Rimes about her new LP, Family, and Brooks & Dunn about their new Cowboy Town release. Big & Rich create their own cowboy town for their latest music video...one which finds John Rich not exactly saving a horse, but falling off of one.
Dolly Parton helps celebrate the brand new Songwriter's Hall of Fame and Garth Brooks announces a Garth-gantuan concert undertaking. “Country Music Across America” on GAC: the only entertainment news show on television solely dedicated to covering the world of country music.
