"Country Music Across America"
(NASHVILLE, TENN) September 18, 2006..."Country Music Across America" host Storme Warren shows his song and dance skills on this week's show (Thursday, September 21, 9:00 pm/ET on GAC).
Well, at least his skills at interviewing those who sing and dance -- folks like "Dancing With the Stars" contestants Sara Evans and Tony Dovalani. Evans hosted a charity fashion show in Nashville and invited Dovalani to join her. "I'm proud of her," Dovalani said of his singing star partner. "The judges kind of took our breath away last week so coming back here to such a great reception from her fans was a nice boost."
Warren also reports on mice and men...Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Rascal Flatts to be exact. All five celebrities helped bring endless smiles to the kids at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. The group also took the opportunity to announce that proceeds from an upcoming Nashville concert will - for the second year - benefit the hospital.
Brad Paisley celebrates another No. 1 hit, "The World," with an out-of this-world party that included flying cows and a giant praying mantis. "Can you imagine the bass you could catch with that!" Paisley said, after spotting the giant insect. He also gives Warren a behind the scenes look at the making of his new music video, "She's Everything."
Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp, collectively known as The Wreckers, share their feelings about the risky leap from pop to country music, a risk that has clearly paid off. Their "Leave The Pieces" is the fastest-rising single from a female country duo since the '50s as well as their first CMA Award nomination.
George Jones celebrates his 75th birthday with a Grand Ole Opry all-star salute and Warren went backstage to talk with the legend and those who were there to honor him. Among the stars was Dierks Bentley who brought a homemade gift for his hero, The Possum.
But wait, there's more...Warren and crew also stop by the sets of music video shoots by Carrie Underwood, Montgomery Gentry, Ashley Monroe and Sarah Buxton and provide sneak peaks of each new clip.
"Country Music Across America" on GAC: the only entertainment news show on television dedicated solely to covering the world of country music.
