FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Men, Music, Movies & More on GAC's
"Country Music Across America"

NASHVILLE, TENN (August 22, 2006)....Men will be men and artists will be actors on this week's "Country Music Across America," Thursday, September 7, 9:00 pm (ET), on Great American Country.

Host Storme Warren heads to Atlanta for some quality hang time with superstar artist turned movie actor, Toby Keith. Keith talks about the fact that his busy, busy life includes (in addition to his film role) a new movie soundtrack, a new music video featuring Heather Locklear and a new tour. As for the tour, Keith says, "It's more than a concert, it's a whole redneck experience." He also addresses the fact that his name does not appear on the final list of CMA Awards nominees. "I get p*ssed for about a minute and then I think, 'What do I have to gripe about?' I mean, really?" he says honestly.

Another multi-platinum star with absolutely nothing to gripe about is the ever-grateful Alan Jackson. Warren and crew were present at the recent celebration marking the platinum certification of Jackson's gospel LP, Precious Memories. Jackson showed his appreciation to family matriarchs - his mother and mother-in-law - by presenting them with checks for $100,000 to be donated to the charities of their choice.

An emotional Sammy Kershaw sits down with Warren to talk about hitting rock bottom in his career and life. "I've lost everything, all I've got left are my friends and family," the '90s star says. Kershaw plants the blame for his career downtown squarely on his own shoulders. "There's no one to blame but Sammy."

And it seems that it's not just country fans who are getting younger. Warren looks into Kid Pan Alley, an elementary school program grooming some very young songwriters in Music City. Long known as the 'Queen of Denial,' country star Pam Tillis meets the real deal, the Queen of the Nile, when she gives Warren a tour of "Egypt," the largest collection of artifacts ever put on loan by that country. The show is currently on display at Nashville's First Center for the Visual Arts. Tillis also chats about jewels of a different kind, her new LP, Rhinestoned.

"Country Music Across America" on GAC: the only entertainment news show on television dedicated solely to covering the world of country music.
