FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Legends Past, Legends Present and Legends
In The Making On This Week's
"Country Music Across America"

(Nashville, Tenn.) August 23, 2007... It’s been a week of remembering legends who left us too soon, legendary artists making a comeback and legends in the making spreading some C & W goodwill and GAC’s “Country Music Across America” has got it all covered on this week’s episode, Thursday, August 23, 9:00 PM eastern.

Show host Storme Warren was on hand at Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, California, to host a birthday bash celebrating what would’ve been Buck’s 78th birthday. He sat down with those who were there to perform – folks like Dwight Yoakam, Raul Malo, newcomer Lance Miller and Buck’s son, Buddy Owens – to reminisce about the legend. “There’s my music, there’s Buck’s music and now hopefully with this album, he and I have our music,” Yoakam says of his forthcoming release, Dwight Sings Buck. “I hope he would be proud.”

A noticeably trimmer Garth Brooks was back in Music City to announce the release of his Ultimate Hits project and he explained his new physique. “Keith Urban is a beautiful man and he’s an entertainer. If you’re not going to bring you’re A game, you’re going to get run over,” he told the assembled. He later chatted with Warren to talk about his new venture.

Joe Nichols shares information about his just-released Real Things LP and responds to rumors that he’s gotten engaged while Tracy Lawrence celebrates his recent #1 single, “You Find Out Who Your Friends Are,” with a party at BMI. Maintaining the kind-hearted reputation of some of today’s top country stars, Brad Paisley took his summer tour - which includes Kellie Pickler and Taylor Swift – to Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, to perform a private concert for the troops of the 101st Airborne and their families.

Just up the road in Cincinnati, Ohio, LeAnn Rimes and Montgomery Gentry joined TV commentator Sean Hannity for one of his Freedom Concerts at the Kings Island theme park.

"Country Music Across America" on GAC: the only entertainment news show on television dedicated solely to covering the world of country music.
