Nashville to The Caymans To Anquilla And Back
"Country Music Across America"
Fires Up For 2007
(NASHVILLE, TENN)
January 25, 2007....It's hard to feel sorry for "Country Music Across America" host Storme Warren and his travel-filled work load. This is, after all, a man who hangs in some pretty exotic locations with some of country music's top hitmakers all in the line of duty.
This week's "Country Music Across America," Thursday, January 25, 9:00 pm (ET) on GAC, finds our man Warren sailing the seas to the Cayman Islands, talking with - and thank goodness not dancing with - the stars of "Dancing With The Stars," and checking in with songwriters enjoying themselves in Anguilla.
Keith Anderson, Chris Young, Kevin Sharp, Jeff Bates and others hit the high seas for a country music cruise to the Cayman Islands and Jamaica. "It seems the goal is not to die," Young joked before taking flight on a Jamaican mountain zip line high above a tropical forest.
It was a happy reunion for Sara Evans and her "Dancing With The Stars" family during their tour stop in Nashville. Sara and former dance partner Tony Dovalani reprised their performance of the jive to "These Boots Are made for Walking." "I'm doing well...the support from my fans has been unbelievable," Evans said.
Seems that Carrie Underwood is collecting accolades and awards so rapidly, she's having to double-up on the celebrations! Proof was at the recent celebration for two No. 1 hits, "Don't Forget To Remember Me" and "Before He Cheats." Underwood also took the opportunity to dispel rumors about her alleged relationship with Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Tony Romo.
While many know Jason Ringenberg as the frenzied frontman of the alternative rock/country group, Jason and The Scorchers, he's getting back to his Illinois pig farm roots with his new alter ego, Farmer Jason, and is drawing raves from the pint-sized set. "There's not much difference between a crowd of 20-somethings drinking adult beverages and a gang of hopped up 6-year-olds," he told Warren.
Giving new meaning to "working vacation," Pat Green joined songwriters Wendell Mobley, Rivers Rutherford and Chuck Cannon on the Caribbean island of Anguilla for a music festival that raises funds for the Anguilla Tennis Academy, a nonprofit organization developed to help island children earn US college scholarships.
And when you look like Danielle Peck, you can buy as many vowels as you'd like. The comely newcomer served as guest reporter for "Country Music Across America," going behind the scenes of the recent "Wheel of Fortune" country star week taping in Charleston, South Carolina. Peck talks with Montgomery Gentry, Wynonna, Julie Roberts and Trisha Yearwood as well as big wheels Pat Sajak and Vanna White.
"Country Music Across America" on GAC: the only entertainment news show on television dedicated solely to covering the world of country music.
